Announcing VeraSage Events & a Podcast

We are excited to announce that the VeraSage Institute is holding three events immediately following the AICPA’s Practitioners Symposium and TECH+ Conference on June 13, 14 and 15 at the Aria hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

The first event, Meet VeraSage 2012, will be held on Wednesday, June 13 from 2 to 6PM. It will feature openings from Paul Dunn and Ron Baker, a session with Kennedy and Coe’s managing partner Kurt Siemers, a panel of VeraSage Trailblazer firms, and a live THRIVEcast featuring Mark Koziel and Tom Hood. This is a free event open to anyone.

If that is not enough, we have a second event, VeraSage in Vegas, which will run from 7:30am to 5:30pm on Thursday, June 14. The morning will feature five VeraSage Fellows and Founders:

The afternoon will be dedicated to dynamic, interactive workshops that drill down into the content taught in the morning. You’ll interact with dozens of VeraSage Fellows and Friends who are trailblazers with experience in these core areas. You’ll take away scores of practical ideas you can implement today and into the future. The price for this event is $1,200. And, of course, the value is guaranteed.

The third event, not open to the public is a meeting of VeraSage Fellows and Friends. This is similar to the meeting that produced our terrific series of DETalks. Sorry, but unless you are a Fellow or trailblazer (by invitation only) you can’t come to the live event, but look for the posting of the DETalks after the event.

On Subscription Pricing and Being a Firm of the Future

On April 4th, Ron Baker and I did a webinar for Sage Partners entitled Subscription Pricing on the Journey to Becoming a Firm of the Future.

Ed and Ron Presenting at Professional Pricing Society

Thrilled to announce that Ed Kless and I will be presenting at the 23rd ANNUAL SPRING PRICING WORKSHOPS & CONFERENCE, at the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel, in Chicago, IL.

The conference runs from May 8th—May 11th, 2012, and our all-day workshop will be held on May 9th.

Sole Proprietor’s Retreat

Dan Morris and I will be conducting the Sole Proprietor’s Retreat this December 9-10 for the California CPA Education Foundation. This 1.5 day program was designed as a way to give sole props the opportunity to have a retreat with their peers, since they don’t have partners.

It was a predecessor program to the Firm of the Future Symposium, but designed specifically for sole props and all the issues they face.

Firm of the Future for Media and Analysts

Yesterday, I delivered a four-hour session on the Firm of the Future for IT industry media and analysts at the behest of Melody Chalaban on Sage North America’s media relations team. I want first to thank her for the opportunity and organization of the event.

(As you can see I am through the A’s with regard to flipping firms.) These three gentleman did an outstanding job of explaining how they have implemented the ideas that I only speak (some might say blather on) about.

Second Life Webinar: Implementing Value Pricing

I’m pleased to announce the Maryland Association of CPAs is offering my third Second Life Webinar, which will be held Wednesday, May 25th at 12:30 – 2:30 pm Eastern Time. Registration begins at 11:30 pm.
