Prior to becoming CEO, Kurt served clients of the firm in a variety of industries and functional areas. He began his career in audit arena, moving to the tax planning arena, and as then as an overall business advisor to closely held businesses.

Kurt received his bachelors and masters degree from Fort Hays State University and has been with Kennedy and Coe since graduating from college. He has been active during his career in professional associations, having served the Kansas Society of CPAs as a Board Member, President, and other committees.
